Yes, friends. One of the major horror cons is upon us. Beginning on Thursday, June 15th, StokerCon converges on Romero Country. Of course, I’m talking about Pittsburgh, PA!
Erica and I will be in attendance. Here are my scheduled events:

Videogames and Horror
Robert Ottone • Heather Romanowski • Todd Keisling • Richard Dansky
From Silent Hill to Alone in the Dark, video games have exploited the horror genre for many scares and thrills, from role playing survival games to first person shooters. How are video games uniquely suited to the genre of horror? How does interactivity, narrative and multimedia play come together to make for weird experiences? And are video games getting weirder?

Algorithmic Possession: Confronting Big Tech on the Page
Andrew F Sullivan • Christi Nogle • Alex Woodroe • Gemma Amor • Sofia Ajram • Todd Keisling
We were lied to. Venture capital, big tech, and the promise of a better tomorrow have unearthed new, subtle everyday horrors we are only beginning to fathom.

Worth a Thousand Scary Words: Cover Art, Illustration & Book Design
Lynne Hansen • Jason Sizemore • Gemma Amor • Todd Keisling • Dan Henk • Lesley Conner
This panel of artists, editors and authors will discuss the process that brings art to the printed page. They will show you how you can maximize your potential for success with the right cover art and book design, and how to honor the work of illustrators and designers. Artists, too, can learn how to draw inspiration from the written word. Learn how to boost the effectiveness of a cover, how to use a cover as a marketing launchpad, how design impacts a reading experience, different approaches to different formats (novels, anthologies, etc.) and more..

We'll have a shift from 5:00-6:00pm, and then rotate with the second group of authors from 6:15-7:15pm.
I will have copies of most of my work (including Devil’s Creek and Scanlines) for sale during the Mass Author Signing. Of course, I’ll happily sign copies you bring from home.
As for my author reading, I’ll be reading from a new story in Cold, Black & Infinite. Don’t miss it!

P.S. Check out the cover I made for this year’s StokerCon souvenir anthology:
This guy wrote a book called Edenville which releases this fall from William Morrow. It’s one of the craziest and terrifying books I’ve read in a long time, probably since John Dies at the End. Don’t miss it!
